Flight Tracking is a service for tracking activities in airspace with the help of software. This includes above all activities at and around airports/airfields, i.e. primarily aircraft flights. The Software and Hardware Solutions from jetvision cover Flight Tracking in all applied procedures: This includes the Multilateration of ADS-B, for the widely used Mode-S, as well as FLARM. We integrate all these data sources into our Flight Tracking network for powerful real-time Flight Tracking and airspace monitoring.

With the jetvision Multilateration system (MLAT) you can determine the exact position and speed of flying objects. You see the real data of all transponder-equipped airplanes, helicopters, etc. – in real time and unfiltered. This enables high-precision monitoring of airspace and ground traffic at airports, which ADS-B-based networks and radar alone cannot achieve.

Multilateration is actually a lot of math, but it works like magic: jetvision’s precise, flexible and fail-safe interaction of hardware and software brings together the various FLARM, ADS-B and Mode S sources. You can think of it as a reverse GPS system: The server knows the positions of the receivers (=satellites) and the time of the respective signal reception at the “satellite” location and can calculate the position of the flying object from this. The only difference is that with jetvision the “satellites” do not fly, but are in use thousands of times around the world.
